Martha Mine Pit Rim Walk
The Martha Mine Pit Rim walk is a 4km walkway which loops around Martha Mine giving walkers impressive views into the open cast mine, located in Waihi town.
Waihi Gilmour Park
Gilmour Reserve is a relaxing place to be with family and friends, great scenic for picnic and a nearby kids playground for the young ones to enjoy. Public toilets are available on site.

Karangahake Gorge
Located in between the Waihi and Paeroa, the Karangahake Gorge is the home of the scenic Karangahake Historic Walkways which give access to and allow visitors to see some remnants of mining and railway eras. Karangahake Gorge has been voted onto the list of '101 Must-Do's for Kiwis' and is also part of the Hauraki Rail Trail.
Owharoa Falls
The 6-meter-high Owharoa Falls located a few minutes' drive from the Karangahake Gorge make for a spectacular sight and is a must-see if you are visiting the Gorge.
